Understanding the Healing Capabilities of Reiki

July 15th, 2010

Reiki is an old healing method from ancient Japan in which the Reiki healer acts as a proverbial lightning rod for spiritual energy. They take this energy through themselves and deliver it into another as a positive energy that serves to aid in the healing and recuperation of the recipient.

It helps to cleanse blockages in the soul so that the spiritual energy may resume flowing through the body with ease. When clots are formed in the soul, it can slow the workings of the mind and body and throw the person off center, just as an illness to the physical body can make them fretful and sad. When a part of them takes a hit, the other parts of that person, will get the aftershock.

When a person’s spiritual flow has been blocked, their lack of will to recover slows the body’s natural healing processes dramatically. This is where a Reiki Healer will come in. They will lightly hold their hands over a body that has been put at ease, and direct the spiritual energy into the wounded person.

The relief of stress will cause the person’s ache to lighten. This will make the person’s will to recover strengthen. When stress and anxiety take hold on the soul, it can very negatively affect the will power of the afflicted. With Reiki treatments, however, it can become easier to cope with life as it is presented to you.

In a sense, everyone is a part of Reiki, and is capable of the ability to spiritually heal another or themselves to some degree. For example, when you would get a cut or a bruise, and mother would kiss it and make it all better. It may not physically heal the wound, but it heals the fear you felt from it, making it seem not all that bad. Reiki is an advanced and controlled form of this.

If you can make the pain seem better without trying, imagine what you’re capable of when you really focus on it. Reiki practitioners do focus on it, successfully channeling the energy into a healing force. This way, when you are unable to heal yourself, a Reiki practitioner will be able to clear your soul.

Regular Reiki Exercises for Reiki Healing

July 15th, 2010

Once you have received Reiki Attunement, it’s very important for the training process to continue. Many feel that they are automatically healers once they have received Reiki Attunement. However, Reiki is like any other skill.

It must be honed through consistent, committed training. The reason for the Attunement is to activate the chakra to enable access to Reiki energy in order to channel it. If this is not followed up with training, the chakra becomes inactive, which means that the energy cannot be accessed properly. The more you train, the stronger a healer you will be.

You should take at least 20 minutes each day to meditate and allow the channeling of the Reiki energy into your body. Everyone has different meditation routines. However, if you sit down, the Universal energy can enter through your crown chakra, permeate your body and move down to Mother Earth. This energy makes it easier to enter a meditative trance.

Following your meditation, your body will be highly energized. Your physical body cannot process an overload of spiritual energy. Therefore, you should perform a grounding exercise. Simply have the intention that excess energy will leave your body and be grounded to Mother Earth. Thus, you’ll have balanced your spiritual and physical energy.

A proficient Reiki healer needs to perform a daily self-healing exercise. When this self-healing is performed, it is actually cleaning the energy channel. The more uncluttered the energy channel is, the more effective the healer is.

Reiki training should never be considered a chore or drudgery. Instead, they should be simple and fun to do. The benefits you will get are amazing as long as you do the training with your heart filled with unconditional love. The reason for this is unconditional love is the best form of energy to connect you directly with The Source.

When you make the commitment to become the best Reiki healer that you can be, these daily exercises will be something you look forward to performing. You will become much more energized and will feel stronger as well as more peaceful. Each day that you perform your training exercises will help you to be a stronger healer and you’ll feel yourself becoming more of an effective Reiki healer.

Learning What Reiki Is

July 15th, 2010

Everything in the universe has a soul pulse. This soul pulse has a rhythmical beat that is made of pure energy. The beat is emitted from absolutely everything. Humans, plants, and even the very planet you tread. All of these things have a soul pulse.

Reiki is the ability to become a conduit for this energy to enter another person’s body. This energy is taken from the universal vibrations of everything around you and is expelled from the hands of a Reiki practitioner during a healing session.

The purpose of Reiki is strictly for the betterment of human nature. It is nothing evil or wicked, and is only used as a way to heal a person’s soul. When a person’s soul is loaded down with the pain of living, the person’s entire self is thrown out of whack and their soul pulse goes off beat.

When a person’s soul is out of balance, the person becomes out of balance, which can affect their mind and body. This can slow down the natural human ability to heal itself. Reiki’s purpose is to fix this problem by mending the soul blockage that makes a person unwilling to defend or care for their own body.

Reiki is thought of in many different ways. For some, it is a form of occult healing. For others, it is a magical practice. Some even believe it to be a form of prayer and miracle. Whatever the practitioner chooses to believe, Reiki is an effective form of spiritual healing. As long as the practitioner has faith in what they do and feel connected with the practice, it will remain effective.

A lot of Reiki healers will appear as though they are giving a massage to the air just above the recipient. They are taught a multitude of different hand positions to help regulate their patient’s Chi, and realign their aura. This also helps them to more directly approach their patient’s problem. Be it physical pain, stress and anxiety, or heartbreak. A Reiki master is trained to know the right position for these different issues.

Reiki heals people and is generally intended to break bad energy patterns so that the vibrations of the universe can once again run smoothly.

Steps to Becoming a Reiki Master

July 15th, 2010

When a Reiki practitioner decides to become a Reiki Master, there is some confusion as to what this actually entails. There are also questions as to if the practitioner is ready or not to start this path. Read on to see if you’re ready to become a Reiki Master or not.

Many people get confused between Reiki Master and Reiki Teacher. Traditional Japanese Reiki as well as most Eastern art forms requires mastering an art before trying to teach it. Basically, you need to learn to walk before you can run.
To explain a bit more, there are members in the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai who have been at Level Two of their training for at least 50 years. They don’t care about moving up because they know it’s not easy to master Reiki energy and they’re in no hurry. Oddly enough, most of these Reiki Level Two Practitioners know a lot more about Reiki healing and energy than most of the Reiki Masters of the West.

Reiki Master currently has 2 accepted definitions. One of them is someone who has actually mastered Reiki. They understand what Reiki is and have put forth the effort to learn. The other definition is someone who has a Reiki Master certificate. This is the more liberal and accepted definition. There are classes that you can take where you pay money and you can get a Reiki Attunement along with a Reiki Master certificate. Most true Reiki Practitioners do not accept this definition as the true one, though.

Most Reiki Master Certificates are not worth the paper they’re printed on. Those simply mean that a Reiki Attunement was performed. The teachers who refuse to accept students to train at the master level are the ones who understand the importance of actually being ready. Certificates signed by these teachers are of value.

You will know you’re ready to train at the Master Level when you have completed all of the other training as well as practiced until your abilities have developed to where they should be. While practicing, you will, no doubt, develop your sixth sense. This comes naturally and will provide the intuition that lets you know when you’re ready to move forward.

Learning to Teach Reiki

July 15th, 2010

Each Reiki Level requires a different set of instructions. It’s helpful to understand the requirements of each level as well as learn more effective teaching methods. Following are the requirements for teaching the four traditional Japanese Levels of Shoden, Okuden, Shinpiden and Gokuikaiden.

Shoden is Japanese for “Beginning Level.” This class offers an introduction to Reiki energy and a discussion of the history of Reiki. It also offers an understanding of this new ability to channel Reiki energy used for self-healing and that of others.

You aren’t required to be a Reiki Master at this level, although it’s helpful. This is the level where any common misconceptions can be cleared up and questions are addressed. These can also serve as “practice teaching” classes for more advanced students.

Okuden means “Inner Level” in Japanese. This part of the training revolves around completely understanding Reiki symbols as well as how to use them. Using them correctly increases or adds to the Reiki energy introduced in Level One. It also presents distance healing methods to the student along with mental and emotional healing.

This level really needs a much higher ability to understand it in order to teach it. The teacher doesn’t need to have the energies mastered but needs to be well into their mastery. Okuden provides training on healing physical ailments to removing emotional and mental blocks. Students can remain at this level for years before advancing due the level of difficulty.

Shinpiden means “Mystery Level” in Japanese. This is the level that begins teaching spiritual healing. This level borders on the occult and keeps many Reiki practitioners away from it, although it’s one of the most fascinating aspects of Reiki.

The student learns Living Reiki at this level, which means including Reiki in all aspects of your life. A teacher of this level must have totally integrated Reiki energies and needs to help students find their own personal portal to the realms of enlightenment. The ability to perform deep meditation is also needed.

Gokuikaiden means “Secret Level” in Japanese. Students at this level are instructed in correctly performing Reiki Attunements and teaching Reiki themselves. No new information is taught in this level. That’s why most Reiki styles only have three levels.

How To Learn Reiki And Become a Reiki Master

July 14th, 2010

Reiki is a healing practice that combines the spiritual and physical. It’s helped many to conquer health problems as well as successfully manage stress. Reiki first became known for healing at the end of the last century and is becoming more widespread today.

To learn the art of Reiki and become a Reiki Master, you must complete three levels. They are The First Degree, The Second Degree, and The Third Degree, which is also the Master/Teacher level.

When you study the First Degree Reiki level, you’ll learn what Reiki is, its history, and the different Reiki systems used today. At the completion of this level, you’ll be initiated into Reiki and given your first Reiki Attunement.

The Reiki Attunement teaches you how to tune into Reiki energy and use it for healing. You’ll be initiated by lying on your stomach or back as a practitioner or Master puts hands on your body starting at your head and proceeding to your toes at approximately the traditional chakra locations. Energy flows into your body from the Master’s hands. There are many home and online courses that provide Reiki training, but you should actually receive the Attunement in person. When you have received the Attunement, you’ll begin learning how to use Reiki on others.

When you reach Second Degree Reiki, you’ll start learning about distance healing. This involves being able to channel Reiki energies to a person located in another town or country. This type of energy has a higher portion from the Source and a lower portion of Chi than with Frist Degree Reiki. The Second Degree offers healing on spiritual, emotional and mental levels, while First Degree Reiki focuses on physical healing.

Once you have advanced to the Third Degree level, you’ll start to learn about the Reiki symbols, what they mean and how to use them. You’ll learn different ways to manage stress using drums and crystals. There are sacred mantras you’ll learn and how different energies work. This level teaches you to become a Reiki Master so you can teach others and perform Reiki Attunements.

Many types of workshops are available to teach Reiki. Whichever way you choose, be sure to open yourself up to all Reiki has to offer.
